Nutritional Advice, Feeding Plans and Forage Testing
Nutritional Advice
Jo is able to advise on your horse's current diet, should you have any questions please complete and return this form. Nutritional advice is offered free of charge when requested as part of an Equine Touch session.
Feeding Plans
All horses should have their diet analysed on a regular basis. This is to ensure they are receiving the correct level of vitamins and minerals for the season, level of work they are doing, and according to the type and amount of hard feed and forage they have access to. Jo works with you to assess your horse's requirements and will develop a plan which shows what they are currently receiving and what they actually require. This is presented in an easy to see format with both volumes and costs shown. By ensuring your horse is receiving the correct levels of nutrition you could save money in the long run.
How much does a Feeding Plan cost?
Feeding Plans: £30 per plan.
Forage Testing
Whilst Jo can make an assessment of your forage it is wise to have it tested for mineral content. By knowing what levels of which minerals your hay or haylage contains you can avoid either over or under supplementing them with hard feed.
How much does Forage Testing cost?
Forage Testing: £75 per sample for full mineral content.
Milage is applied at 50p/mile over the first 10 miles.
