Horsemanship Coaching
Horsemanship Coaching (Ridden)
Jo has ridden for most of her life and they range from green youngsters to international competition horses, competing regularly at unaffiliated level in most disciplines. Jo uses a mix of learning styles when coaching riders and prefers to think of her coaching not as instruction, but more as rider development. Jo is keen to help riders overcome any confidence issues, having suffered a complete loss of confidence herself previously and is always sympathetic yet encouraging in her coaching style.
Horsemanship Coaching (Groundwork & Handling)
Using a mix of Intelligent Horsemanship and positive reinforcement techniques, Jo has worked with a wide range of horses with a wide range of issues, from the untouched feral pony to the tricky loader or clipper shy horse. Jo is happy to work with the horse and owner either together or alone to enable a more harmonious partnership.
Horsemanship Coaching (Stable Management)
Jo has worked on a number of yards over the years from working for rides at her local riding school as a teen, to sole charge at a stud and showing yard, so knows a thing or two about Stable Management. Jo is always happy to share her experience and knowledge to help anyone and everyone be safer and more effective within their yard duties.
Jo never, ever, judges someone for not knowing something - We have all been in the position where we have not known how to do something so Jo openly offers to advise and show you how to do whatever it is that you are not sure about, all you have to do is ask!
