Tack & Horsewear Fit Checks, and Tack Security Marking
Saddle Fitting
Jo is a registered Qualified Saddle Fitter with Society of Master Saddlers, and is a Saddle Fitter for Walsall based Bliss of London, The Saddle Company, Cavaletti Collection, Albion Saddlemakers, and Silhouette Saddles but is equally happy to work with other brands as the principles of saddle fitting remain the same.
Jo is able to assess fit on any saddle and can make minor flocking alterations on site to most saddles, and tree adjustments to Saddle Company saddles; other brands may be taken away for alteration or may be altered on site depending on requirements. Jo can also help source second hand saddles of various brands, and can template your horse should you wish to order brand new. The saddles Jo has on offer contain a range of differing models from semi-synthetic to top of the range leather so something to suit all pockets and tastes.
It is important that there is somewhere flat and level to stand your horse whilst the templating is carried out, and somewhere flat, level, safe and enclosed to ride.
How much does Saddle Fitting cost?
Saddle Fitting: £45 per horse to include templating and minor flocking adjustments.
Alterations: Priced depending upon requirements including additional flocking, tree adjustments, replacement girth straps, repairs, or replacement trees.
Bit & Bridle Fitting
Bridles and bits can have as much of an impact on the horse as a saddle can, and therefore it is important that a bridle fits well around the anatomy of the head, and the bit suits the mouth and horse's preference well.
Jo is a registered Trainee Bridle Fitter with Society of Master Saddlers, and is a Bridle Fitter for UK based Horsemanship Saddlery and EvoEquine but is equally happy to work with other brands as the principles of bridle fitting remain the same. Likewise Jo recognises that there are a plethora of bit brands and types on the market and Jo is happy to work with whichever brands are available and is working to build a collection for trialling at a bridle fitting.

This can be in the form of microchipping saddles, stamping leather tack with your postcode, or using a permanent UV pen to write your postcode on synthetic tack.
